the wooden marble

Saw a low poly picture of this map. Then modeled this in Fusion 360 instead of converting the image to a vector file, like every sane person would do. Here you can watch the insanity.

Then printed the parts in wood PLA. Wanted to use dark wood oil, but the process was messy, the results not good and I liked the contrast of the light parts to the black background.

Black stretchy cloth glued on a IKEA frame. Used regular wood glue. It was pain to spread the glue. Next time I should mix some water in.

Gluing on cloth is a bit tricky.

This was glued on the back. Print turned out a bit stringy. Next time i use my SUNLU dryer to dry the wood filament.
